DAY 1: CAPE TOWN

On arrival at Cape Town Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and you will be transferred to the Cape Town hotel of your choice. After a comprehensive self-drive debriefing, you will receive your personalised travel journal, which provides our recommendations on fine dining and the many attractions of Cape Town. Your rental car will be delivered to your hotel. Your days are at leisure to explore the sights of Cape Town. Should you wish to take any of our guided tours in and around Cape Town, we suggest that you pre-book these with our reservations center to ensure availability.
You have the afternoon free: pay a visit to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Original buildings have been kept and renovated and new ones developed - all in beautiful Victorian style. Much of its charm lies in the fact that this busy commercial harbour is set in the midst of a huge entertainment venue with pubs, restaurants, speciality shops, craft markets and movie theatres.
DAY 2: CAPE TOWN
Today you can visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, and drive along one of South Africa’s most scenic and popular routes to Cape Point where (by tradition) two marine ecosystems and oceans meet. Cape Point, the southern tip, is a place of pounding rollers, howling winds and a storm-lashed coastline. From here you continue via the African (Jackass) penguin colony at Boulders to the historic naval base of Simon’s Town. Twenty-one buildings along the main street are over 150 years old, and have been restored to their original Victorian splendour. The final leg of your trip takes you through Muizenberg, to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Sprawled over 560 hectares on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, these world-renowned gardens are dedicated to the preservation of the indigenous plants of Southern Africa.
DAY 3: CAPE TOWN
Spend a leisurely day relaxing on one of Cape Town’s superb beaches. Clifton, Camps Bay or Llandudno are all highly recommended. Alternatively, explore the scenic wine routes of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Stellenbosch lies in a fertile valley, surrounded by vineyards, orchards and mountains. This historic town is renowned for the gracious Cape Dutch thatched and gabled buildings and stately oaks which line the streets. Franschhoek was originally known as "Le Quartier Francais" (The French Quarter). The rich cultural and historical heritage of Franschhoek, and its tradition of viniculture date back to 1688 when some 200 French Huguenots were appointed land in the district. Paarl lies cradled in the verdant Berg River valley between the second largest granite rock in the world, which gave Paarl (the pearl) its name, and the scenic Du Toit’s Kloof mountains. Paarl’s unique architectural heritage is famous, as are the wine and fruit farms. The town encompasses a range of architectural styles dating back to the late 18th century. Visit some of the wine estates on each of these wine routes for cellar tours and wine tasting.
DAY 4: END OF TOUR
Return the rental car at Cape Town airport and catch your next flight.
