Shidzidzi and Nungubane

This 5-star facility is a mere three hours from Johannesburg in the sprawling wilderness of the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve and can accommodate a total of 20 guests in intimate elegance. Malaria Free and in the heart of the spectacular Waterberg, Shidzidzi and Nungubane are 3 kilometres apart, and are surrounded by 35000 hectare of raw African bush offering superb Big 5 game viewing

Both Shidzidzi and Nungubane offer two game drives per day to guests. Drives are in open-sided Land Rover vehicles specially adapted for game viewing, and experienced game rangers accompany all drives to share their knowledge of the plant, animal, insect and bird life with guests.

For the more energetic and for those wishing to get closer to nature, walk safaris can be arranged on request. A game ranger accompanies guests on the walk. And for a totally different experience helicopter flights can be arranged.

Every creature comfort imaginable is on hand at Shidzidzi and Nungubane Private Game Lodges.

The main lodge at each of the camps house general facilities including reception, a lounge with a huge deck, a dining room and a bar, and a curio shop where various African goods are available. During the day laze in the sun at either of the lodge swimming pools, relax in the cool comfort of the lodge lounge, or spend some time watching the ever-present game wandering to and from the lodge waterholes.

The Welgevonden sister lodges of Shidzidzi and Nungubane are a mere 5 minutes apart by Land Rover.
