| On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by an Ascot Golf Tours representative and assisted with your rental car. Follow the representative to the hotel where he will take time to explain the vouchers to you and answer any questions which you might have about your holiday. | Overnight at Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel |
| This luxury hotel opened in August 2003 and is designed to suit the needs of the business and leisure traveller alike. Upon arrival at reception one is greeted by a barrage of receptionists and a small army of flat screen computer check-in monitors.
This setup does, however, blend in perfectly with the 21st century slick and stylish interior. Leather chairs and highly polished marble floors are punctuated by chic African artefacts on the walls.
The Sheraton has facilities to cater to your every whim. One phone call allows you to order anything from a new light bulb to a chicken mayo sandwich at two in the morning, and the television in your room even tracks the status of your order!
Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel - Rooms
Rooms are modern and sophisticated, though not particularly spacious. This is well compensated for, however, by the oversized, custom-made 'Sweet Sleeper' beds. Understated décor creates an uncluttered atmosphere and African touches such as a beaded picture and intricately woven pillows complete the look.
Each room contains soundproof windows, block out curtains and a business desk with an ISDN line and a cordless phone to help create your own mobile office.
The Sheraton offers various dining options, of which the top of the list is the chic Restaurant Thirty 7. The restaurant boasts a show kitchen feature, where one can watch chefs prepare a contemporary combination of Eastern and Mediterranean food.
Besides Thirty 7, there are various coffee shops serving light lunches, a cigar bar, an exclusive guest lounge for Tower Club guests (the Tower Club is similar to a frequent flyer programme), and even a jazz bar that offers all day dining. On top of all this, you can order from these various menus any time of the day or night, so you'll never go hungry.
If you tire of the Sheraton's chic interior, there are always nearby Waterfront restaurants and eateries in the City Centre, where you're bound to find food to suit your taste buds. |

| After a leisurely breakfast, make your way out to the Constantia Wine valley. After your round of golf, make some time to taste the Steenberg Wines and other wines of the area. | Golf at Steenberg Golf Club. | Designer Ken Elkin. Distance Champ 6 424m, Club 6 115m, Par 72.
The Steenberg Golf Course and Estate offers the golfer the complete package. In terms of a resort course, look no further than Steenberg. The five star graded Steenberg country Hotel, championship golf course, guided tours and wine tasting on the edge of the Constantia winelands make golfing at Steenberg an unforgettable golf experience.
Steenberg is both private and exclusive. Only hotel guests, members and their guests are allowed on the course. This is a luxury in season, as it avoids over crowding normally associated with golf courses in Cape Town during the summer months of November to April.
Steenberg Golf course has a flat layout with wetland and parkland features. The fairways are divided into four distinctive regions, namely Wetlands, Parklands, Cape Flats and Fynbos. These regions take advantage of all natural features and hazards that golfers have to navigate. Some of these features include large waste bunkers, running creeks, water hazards and excellent bent greens. Check out the par-three 7th at the start of the wetland section of the course. It is surrounded by water on three sides and a bunker on the fourth. | Overnight at Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel | Wednesday, 24 Jan 2007 |
| After a leisurely breakfast, make your way through to Royal Cape for your round of golf. | Golf at Royal Cape Golf Club. | Designer Dr Charles Molteno Murray. Distance Champ 6 121m, Club 5 787m, Par 72.
Formed in 1885, the Royal Cape Golf Course is the oldest club in South Africa and the whole of Africa. It is a championship course of some repute and has hosted the prestigious SA Open 11 times. Once you visit this flat parkland golf course you will see why. The tree lined fairways are narrow with many water hazards and bunkers. The golf course is always well groomed and has mountain views from just about every hole. The greens are modern with bent grass.
This course is a challenge and demands a repertoire of shots, from accuracy off the tee box to pinpoint short irons. What starts off as a pleasant round of golf could turn into a nightmare unless, of course, you consider yourself a pro!
The Royal Cape Golf Course is fairly unprotected from the South Easter and when the wind is blowing, your handicap will be seriously challenged! | Overnight at Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel |

| After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your room and make your way through to Kleinmond on the Overberg coast just 1 scenic hour’s drive away. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in and enjoy the facilities, including a world-class spa, on offer. | Overnight at Western Cape Hotel and Spa | The Western Cape Hotel & Spa, set in the premises of the Arabella Country Estate, offers you the golf experience of a lifetime. The championship golf course reigns supreme and is one of Ernie Els's favourites.
The hotel, carefully designed to blend with the natural environment, is nestled on cascading banks, flowing towards the estate's peninsula. All rooms offer tranquil vistas of the water, golf course and mountains. The tasteful choice of décor clearly communicates a First World influence within a coastal African theme.
A total of 145 well-appointed bedrooms offer exceptional accommodation designed to make your stay comfortable, convenient and pleasurable. Spacious, equipped with the latest communications and entertainment systems and modern conveniences, the suites and rooms give you both a luxurious retreat as well as efficient contact with the rest of the world should you require it. The two Presidential Suites are luxurious and exclusive with personal butler, the two Attic Deluxe Suites, the Grand Deluxe Suites and the Deluxe Suites both offer superb comfort and great views and the Grand Deluxe Rooms and Deluxe Rooms also offer superb luxury and great views.
Recently voted one of the Top 100 Restaurants by Diners Club, Première Restaurant offers the finest dining experience imaginable in terms of the quality of the food, the presentation, the service and the location of the restaurant itself.
Otherwise, you can relax in comfort in front of the wood fire or on the terrace in the Laguna Lounge. Watch the flamingos glide across the lagoon, enjoy a game of chess or backgammon, or simply relax with a good book from the well-stocked library. Jamani Restaurant, great for breakfast, lunch and dinner allows you to soak up the magnificent mountain views or simply watch as the chef prepares your food in full view. |

| After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a morning rounds of golf and afterwards relax with a spa treatment or take a scenic drive out to the quaint coastal town of Hermanus. | Golf at Arabella Country Club. | Designer Peter Matkovich Distance Champ 6 381m, Club 6 082m Par 72.
At the Arabella Golf Club the theme is balance -'challenging enough to bring you back for more, enjoyable enough to make you not want to leave'.
This championship course is situated alongside the Bot River lagoon bordering the Kogelberg Nature reserve.
The Arabella golf course has a demanding and exceptional design that offers a challenging experience to all levels of golfers. It puts professional golfers to the test and at the same time is playable for the average hacker. The fairways are wide and spacious. Both fairways and greens are in an exceptionally good condition.
Choosing a signature hole is tough as the 9th, 17th and the 18th all run parallel to the lagoon. As a result, we have chosen the par-three 17th. This hole requires a precise tee shot. If you miss the green to the right, you might find yourself on the beach! | Overnight at Western Cape Hotel and Spa | Saturday, 27 Jan 2007 |
| After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your room and make your way further along the N2 into the heart of the Cape Garden Route. After checking into your hotel, spend the rest of the day exploring the world class resort. During your stay here you may enjoy unlimited rounds of golf on your choice of the Bramble Hill, Montague and Outeniqua Golf Courses. | Golf at Fancourt Bramble Hill Golf Course. | Designer Gary Player Design Co. Distance Champ 6 050m (6 648 yards), Par 70.
The youngest of Fancourt's four layouts serves as the resort's public course and is likely to be busier than the others. There are not many trees on the course and some holes have a links-like feel.
The course is young and the holes still have to fight it out for the coveted signature hole status. The par-four third is likely to win the race. Measuring 365m off the back, the hole doglegs to the left around a water feature. | Overnight at Fancourt Hotel and Golf Estate |
| Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate, Southern Africas premier golfing and leisure destination, lies at the foot of the majestic Outeniqua mountains in the heart of the Garden Route. A combination of Olde Worlde charm and contemporary luxuries is what makes the Fancourt Hotel so distinctive.
At Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate, guests can choose between a room in the beautifully restored Manor House or one of the many stately Garden Suites and Studios, which are all newly refurbished. Whatever your choice, we can guarantee your holiday or business stay will be most memorable.
Five fine restaurants offer a variety of dining experiences and bear testimony to Fancourts reputation as purveyors of fine cuisine. From the intimate and elegant dining of the Montagu Restaurant to La Cantinas authentic Italian fare, the freshly prepared seafood dishes of Le Pecheur, the locally sourced produce of Bramble Lodge at The Links, the Morning Glorys health meals and light snacks, Fancourt's cuisine is a gourmets delight.
The Health and Beauty Spa offers you the ultimate in relaxation in the most heavenly setting. The Spa has been redesigned to exacting international standards so as to refresh and revitalise your mind, body and soul. Our personalised treatments include hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, reflexology and a range of calming facials and massages as well as a hairdressing salon.
Golf at Fancourt captures the natural beauty of the Garden Route- the mountains, the water, the wildlife. The Montagu and Outeniqua parkland golf courses offer well-manicured fairways and superb bent grass greens. The Gary Player designed course, The Links, hosted the Presidents Cup 2003. A fourth choice of 18 holes is the Bramble Hill Golf Course which offers a combination of the three golf courses mentioned above.. The warm up area offers putting and chipping greens, greenside and fairway bunkers and a full length driving range. A Golf Academy with undercover driving range, lecture rooms and professional tuition is on offer. |

| Golf at Fancourts Montagu Golf Course. | Designer: Gary Player Distance: Champ 6 284m (6 095 yards), Club 5996m (6 589 yards) Par 72.
The Fancourt Montagu is considered one of the best conditioned golf courses in South Africa and has been ranked as the top course in the country a few times. The Montagu takes in a setting of mountains, water and wildlife. It is cleverly designed, picturesque and presents a challenge to golfers of all levels.
These Gary Player designed courses are demanding fair tests set in beautiful surroundings. The generous kikuyu fairways and fast bent grass greens give a taste of the type of course, popular on the US tour.
The most challenging, nerve-racking and enjoyable hole is the par-three 17th. Only by clearing a large expanse of water can the green be reached - similar to the 12th at Augusta National.
Since golf at Fancourt is limited to members, their guests and hotel guests will have ample time to play at their own pace, taking in the golfing experience that is Fancourt. | Overnight at Fancourt Hotel and Golf Estate | Monday, 29 Jan 2007 |
| Golf at Fancourts Outeniqua Golf Course. | Designer Gary Player Design Co. Distance Champ 6 450m (7 038 yards), Club 5 981m (6 572), Par 72.
The Outeniqua Golf Course was named after the mountain range that runs along the Garden Routecoast. This parkland layout is not as popular as Montagu and the Links but mainly due to aesthetics and nothing more. The Outeniqua Golf Course takes in a setting of mountains, water and wildlife.
The Outeniqua Golf Course is cleverly designed, picturesque and presents a challenge to golfers of all levels.
The Outeniqua short par-four 4ths will keep big hitters guessing whether or not to go for it and face the risk of the waterway that dominates the right side of the green and fairway, or play it safe and lay-up!
Since golf at Fancourt is limited to members, their guest and hotel guests have ample time to play at their own pace and take in the golfing experience that is Fancourt. | Overnight at Fancourt Hotel and Golf Estate |
