| Duvet and large pillow Business class seats feature increased pitch from 45" to 78". The seat translates into a 180-degree lie-flat position, creating a 78-inch long bed. There's a fully adjustable headrest to six positions for customized comfort, pneumatic lumbar support which moulds to an individual's body shape and electronically operated seats (recline and leg rest extension). The seat is generously wide with shoulder width at 27.5", and seat width at 21". Each seat has its own in-seat power supply for laptops (Passengers supply their own connector cables). There's an in-seat telephone, individual adjustable reading lights at each seat with 3 different light settings, and a private television, with large 8.6" screens and Sony audio-and-video-on-demand giving passengers full control of their own in-flight entertainment. Both classes feature Sony audio-and-video-on-demand. This system allows each passenger to play, pause, rewind or fast-forward any movie at any time without it affecting other passengers' viewing. It features a variety of video games. Passengers can also compile their own audio listings by selecting from a variety of soundtracks. In all cabin classes on board, South African Airways strives to improve its food and wine service, and innovates continually, rotating menus weekly on domestic routes and approximately every three months on international routes.
